Datatype: MKS
The spectral classification is basically separated in two datatypes
- The MKK classification
- It refers to the usual MKK bidimensional classification. The datatype is named mkk;
- HD-like spectral types
- The one-dimensional Harvard spectral type (in the HD form) are collected
under the datatype spt;
- Selected MK types
- When many classifications exist in a cluster, a selection on the
authors has been performed to keep only one type per star. Therefore, a
variant has been introduced and this datatype is named
mks.
