It refers to the usual MKK bidimensional classification. The datatype is named mkk

The one-dimensional Harvard spectral type (in the HD form) are collected under the datatype spt

Selected MK types

When many classifications exist in a cluster, a selection on the authors has been performed to keep only one type per star. Therefore, a variant has been introduced and this datatype is named mks.
