We use the near-infrared continuum excess as our primary disk diagnostic, although we also study sources with Ca II triplet emission and those designated as "proplyds." Negative values of Delta(I_C-K) can be produced by errors in spectral typing, errors in photometry, and photometric variability; see text. Note (4): Equivalent width of the Ca II 8542 line. Standard stars have an absorption equivalent width that is constant to within 20% from spectral type F2 to K7 at 3 angstroms, and decreasing over the range K7-M5 to 1.5 angstroms. Values of 0.0 indicate that neither emission nor absorption features were apparent from visual inspection of the spectrum. Note that the Pa 8548 line is blended with the Ca II line at our spectral resolution. "-1000" indicate that no data are available.
